2020 Town Road Projects
Project Duration: Aug. 18- End of September (weather dependent)
Project Summary: The Town has budgeted for two major road projects in 2020.
Sherman Road: approximately one mile of pulverize/repaving of Sherman Road between Horns Corners Road and Granville Road.
Beechwood Drive: the entirety of Beechwood Drive (south) will receive a mill and overlay (0.25 miles).
Preparation Work Starting August 18th
The Town Public Works crew will begin preparation for projects starting August 18th.
In the coming weeks, the crew will be saw cutting the road and removing portions of asphalt and culverts from the two road surfaces. There will also be excavators ditching the areas that need repair for proper water flow.
Once that work is complete, the paving contractor is scheduled to begin paving mid-to-late September. Detours will be posted with alternate routes on the signage in advance of road closure to through traffic, bikes, and pedestrian traffic. Please exercise caution while crews are out working.
