Adopt-A-Road

The Adopt-A-Road is a volunteer road management program for litter prevention and control in the Town of Cedarburg. This litter prevention effort directly benefits the community through area beautification and enables citizens to show their community pride.

The Town's Adopt-a-Road program is popular and many roads have already been adopted. However, there are several roadways still available. Click here to view the list/map of available roadways.

The 4 Easy Adopt-a-Road Steps:

1. Decide which road to adopt. The Town has a list of several roads that can be adopted. Since you will be checking it periodically, we suggest you pick a location convenient to your home, school or business.

2. Contact Us and Take Action. Contact us to sign the "Adopt-A-Road Agreement," confirming you will maintain the location for at least 12 months and have at least four cleanups during that time. The Adopt-a-Road form can be printed out and completed by clicking here, or the form is available at Town Hall. Free garbage bags, "Men Working" signs and safety vests will be provided for your cleanup days.

3. Contact Us for Post Cleanup Pickup. Town of Cedarburg public works will arrange for the removal of the filled garbage bags. They will also remove litter, debris, or trash that is either too large, heavy, or hazardous for your group to remove.

4. Receive Recognition for your group's hard work! Each adopted section of road will be marked with a sign with your group's name. We will order your signs and have them installed at the proper locations. However, the greater reward will be your group's satisfaction in knowing they helped make Town of Cedarburg safer and cleaner.
