Residents who pay their property tax bills by mail: Mail your payment early! U.S.P.S. has updated their postmark process, resulting in a later date.
In August 2025, the Postal Service instituted a nationwide change to when a postmark is affixed to incoming mail. Instead of the postmark date being the date mailed out, the postmark is now applied at regional sorting centers-resulting in delays. This may impact the postmark date stamped on tax bills paid to the Town or Ozaukee County through the mail. To avoid this issue, we encourage you to mail your payment earlier.
