Notice from the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (PSC) Regarding Proposed Electrical Transmission Line Work

The Town of Cedarburg was notified that the Public Service Commission (PSC or Commission) received an application from American Transmission Company LLC (ATC) to construct and operate the Ozaukee County Distribution Interconnection Project (PSC REF#: 567811.) This notice has been sent to property owners affected in Ozaukee County and the Town of Cedarburg. Below is a link to the Commission’s letter that has useful links including the complete application that was submitted, the project page, and website to submit/file public comments. The deadline for submitting scoping comments on the environmental impact statement for the Ozaukee County Distribution Interconnection Project is Friday, February 6, 2026. A summary of the project can also be found at the below link on page 3 of the Commission’s letter. This proposed project could affect isolated ATC power lines in the Northwest portion of the Town of Cedarburg referenced within the letter as the “South Scope”, the below link also contains valuable information including a map of the project area.
